Position: Hospital Site Coordinator

Reports to: Manager of Community Based Services


To develop, implement, and maintain the Domestic Violence Services provided to hospital patients and personnel on behalf of WINGS Program, Inc.

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing on-going training to hospital personnel on issues related to Domestic Violence. Responsible for hospital-related Domestic Violence service delivery. Act as a liaison between WINGS and the designated medical center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

q Develop, implement, and revise policies and procedures, protocols, requirements, and training materials on a regular basis for the Hospital Program.

q Provide ongoing trainings to hospital personnel on issues related to Domestic Violence.

q Participate in community presentations to educate on issues related to Domestic Violence.

q Act as a liaison between WINGS and the hospital to ensure a positive partnership.

q Conduct counseling assessments and provide Domestic Violence counseling for clients seeking services including safety planning, support, and education.

q Ensure documentation in records in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements.

q Ensure administrative responsibilities and reporting is completed in a timely fashion in accordance with agency and supervisor requirements.

q Provides direct services in the form of support groups, case management, crisis intervention, emotional support, and conflict resolution.

q Coordinate and facilitate monthly partnership meetings between WINGS and the hospital.

q Develop and implement hospital Anti-Violence Month activities (DV, Teen Dating, etc)

q Network with local township, social service, and community agencies to educate the community about WINGS services, to build collaboration, and maintain referrals for Hospital Advocacy Services. Develop, update and maintain electronic referral database.

q Work with Development staff to establish indicators and outcomes measures, ensure accurate data collection and reporting, and ensure timely submission of all reports.

q Develop and implement periodic assessments of services to ensure quality of services and

positive outcomes.

q Attend Agency and Hospital administrative meetings as required, and collaborate with other staff as needed.

q Oversee integration of strengths-based perspective and life coach model into service delivery.

q Immediately report child abuse to Department of Children and Family Services as mandated by law and in accordance with agency procedures.

q Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Clinical Services.



q Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.

q Experience working with homeless families, victims of domestic violence, or other trauma related populations

q Willingness and ability to successfully complete Domestic Violence 40-Hour Training and CPR & First Aid Certification and commitment to complete within 3 months of hire date. (WINGS will provide, if necessary)

q Bilingual skills (Spanish, Polish, or Russian) preferred.

q Self-starter; with the ability to work efficiently and independently.

q Must be highly organized and attentive to detail.

q Must have highly developed leadership and team skills in order to build rapport and to work with staff, hospital personnel, and community members.

q Demonstrates a high level of professionalism.

q Must have strong project management, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and oral and written communication skills with professional boundaries.

q Must be highly motivated.

q Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends.

q Must have reliable transportation.

q Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced experience in Access and Excel a plus.
