Position: DONATIONS PROCESSOR – Part Time

Reports to: Manager, WINGS Logistic Center

Summary/Objective:

Under the direction of the Manager, the Donation Processor will participate in the activities of the Logistics Center, contributing to general workflow and the qualitative processing and categorization of clothing and other merchandise.

Key Functions:

• Learn and conform to a highly regimented process involving various levels of clothing and housewares sorting, using set criteria for selection of excellent merchandise

• Contribute to workflow by performing price tagging in accordance with the WINGS warehouse inventory system

• Contribute to the general condition and organization of the Logistics Center by maintaining an orderly, neat and healthy work environment for oneself and the Center, as a whole

• Work with WINGS volunteers to assist with donation processing, when appropriate

• Other duties as assigned

Competencies and Requirements:

• Strong belief in the WINGS mission with the ability to advocate for its needs

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds in weight on a regular, repetitive basis

• Position requires hours of continuous standing, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, side-to-side and back-and-forth movements, and other physical movements that are necessary to sort and move bags/boxes of donated clothing and/or household and electronic merchandise, and then placing them in bins and other containers to be stored or moved to other WINGS locales or vendor sites

• Flexible scheduling with ability and willingness to work weekends, if needed

• Self-motivated; ability to multi-task, work efficiently and independently

• Ability and willingness to take direction from Manager and Assistant Manager

• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent computer skills; will teach candidate how to use the warehouse inventory system

• Ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment and adapt to organizational changes

• Committed team player who can successfully interface with a diverse variety of personalities and cultures

• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with ability to build rapport with staff and volunteers

• Successfully complete domestic violence training provided by WINGS

• Knowledge of clothing retail operations is preferred

• Clean criminal background check
