Position:         Supervisor of Clinical Services - Part Time

Supervisor:     Manager of Community Based Services

 Objective: To provide WINGS with the ability to address issues that relate to mental health and domestic violence and/or homelessness by providing the emotional support needed to overcome these obstacles using a strength-based perspective and life coach model. As such, manage and maintain the WINGS student intern program and provide supervision to counseling interns.  

 General Responsibilities:

 Manage, maintain, and grow an extensive internship program utilizing Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's level students from surrounding area schools to enhance service delivery for survivors of DV with WINGS

  • Recruit, screen, interview, and train interns
  • Review, asses, and assign counseling intakes
  • Provide counseling services as needed
  • Ensure documentation in records is accurate, complete, and monitor, audit, and coach intern team's documentation process in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements
  • Provide weekly individual and group clinical supervision to interns
  • Participate in training volunteers during 40hr DV training
  • Network with local organizations to educate on domestic violence and WINGS services and bring referrals back to agency
  • Collect, analyze, and report monthly outcomes as assigned
  • Attend and participate in supervision and agency meetings as scheduled
  • Immediately report child abuse to Department of Children and Family Services as mandated by law and in accordance with agency procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Provide counseling services as needed


  • Master's degree in Social Work must hold a (LCSW) license
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience supervising staff and working with homeless families, victims of domestic violence, or other trauma related populations
  • Willingness and ability to successfully complete Domestic Violence 40 hour Training, CPR, and First Aid (WINGS will provide, if needed)
  • Must hold Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP) Credential or be eligible to sit for certification within one (1) year of hire
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Polish, or Russian) preferred
  • Must be able to work efficiently independently and interdependently with the Program Services Team and external resources
  • Must have strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills with appropriate professional boundaries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced experience in Access and Excel a plus
