Position: Bi-Lingual (Spanish) Hospital Site Coordinator

Reports to: Program Manager of Community Based Services

Objective: To develop, implement, and maintain the Domestic Violence Services provided to hospital patients and personnel on behalf of WINGS Program, Inc.

General Responsibilities
: Responsible for providing on-going training to hospital personnel on issues related to Domestic Violence. Act as a liaison between WINGS and the designated medical center.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and revise policies and procedures, protocols, requirements, and training materials on a regular basis for the Hospital Program.
* Provide ongoing trainings to hospital personnel on issues related to Domestic Violence.
* Participate in community presentations to educate on issues related to Domestic Violence.
* Act as a liaison between WINGS and the hospital to ensure a positive partnership.
* Conduct counseling assessments and provide short-term Domestic Violence counseling for clients seeking services including safety planning, support, and education.
* Conduct weekly rounds to key departments in order to increase WINGS presence.
* As directed, provide supervision for ICDVP candidates.
* Ensure documentation in records in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements.
* Ensure administrative responsibilities and reporting is completed in a timely fashion in accordance with agency and supervisor requirements.
* Coordinate and facilitate monthly partnership meetings between WINGS and the hospital.
* Develop and implement hospital Anti-Violence Month activities (DV, Teen Dating, etc)
* Network with local township, social service, and community agencies to educate the
   community about WINGS services, to build collaboration, and maintain referrals for
   Hospital Advocacy Services. Develop, update and maintain electronic referral database.
* Work with Development staff to establish indicators and outcomes measures, ensure
   accurate data collection and reporting, and ensure timely submission of all reports.
* Develop and implement periodic assessments of services to ensure quality of services and
   positive outcomes.
* Attend Agency and Hospital administrative meetings as required, and collaborate with
   other staff as needed.
* Oversee integration of strengths-based perspective and life coach model into service
* Immediately report child abuse to Department of Children and Family Services as
   mandated by law and in accordance with agency procedures.
* Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Community Based Services.

* Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
* Experience working with homeless families, victims of domestic violence, or other
   trauma related populations.
* Willingness and ability to successfully complete Domestic Violence 40
   hour Training, CPR, and First Aid (WINGS will provide, if needed)
* Must hold Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP)
   Credential or be eligible to sit for certification within one (1) year of hire.
* Bilingual skills (Spanish) required.
* Self-starter; with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
* Possess highly developed leadership and team skills in order to build rapport and to work
   with staff, hospital personnel, and community members.
* Must have strong professional training experience.
* Strong project management, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and oral and
   written communication skills with professional boundaries.
* Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends.
